The Filipino quartet of Skwats doesn't like to toss words and sounds to the wind. They really don't play their music, but squat it. They occupy dusty rooms of post-punk, ironic uncomplicated psychedelia and synth-driven motorik pulses to put them in proper order.

"Angst, Lust and Dreams" is an album of catchy melodies and devilish loudness at the same time. It’s could lift even the most plodding man from the couch. Skwats so easily manage to create the feeling of a decent party right in your head that you immediately wonder how these people behave outside the studio and without their instruments. Their music has a completely appropriate sense of fun, which you get into from the very first minutes. And really, what interests every person if not angst, lust and dreams?

Филиппинский квартет Skwats не любит бросать слов и звуков на ветер. Свою музыку они действительно будто не играют, а сквотируют. Занимают запыленные комнаты пост-панка, иронической неусложненной психоделии и моторизированного синтезаторного пульса, чтобы навести в них полный порядок.

«Angst, Lust and Dreams» - запись мелодичная и при этом чертовски громкая, способная поднять с дивана даже самых усидчивых. Skwats так легко удается создать ощущение пристойной вечеринки прямо у тебя в голове, что сразу становится интересно, как эти люди ведут себя вне студии и без инструментов. Их музыка обладает совершенно уместным чувством прикола, в который врубаешься с первых же минут. Да и правда, что интересует каждого человека, если не беспокойства, мечтания и страсти?
